The pattern covers ages 0–24 months in five sizes. Check the child’s measurements when choosing a size; age is a guide.

Choose two woven fabrics, such as quilting cotton or linen, plus batting or a suitable soft insulating layer. You’ll also need fabric for the binding and ties.

Have a sewing machine, matching thread, scissors, pins and an iron ready. The tutorial shows how to make and attach the bias binding.

1. The pattern sheets are US Letter size. Print at 100% / Actual Size and turn off Fit to Page and Shrink.
2. Print the sheet with the test squares first and check their labeled measurements with a ruler.
3. Join the four pattern sheets using the included assembly layout. You can read the photo tutorial on a screen.

Can the vest be worn on both sides?

Yes. The construction is reversible, so both fabric sides can be worn on the outside.

Do I need buttons or a zipper?

No. This design closes with ties made as part of the neckline binding. The tutorial shows how to finish the bound edges.

May I sell the vests I make?
