SKILL LEVEL
3 out of 5. Some sewing experience is recommended. The photographs help you follow the construction one step at a time.

FABRIC & SUPPLIES
Quilting cotton is my preferred fabric for this project. You’ll need 1 yard of main fabric and ½ yard of front lining for any included size, based on a usable fabric width of at least 42 inches. Allow extra for shrinkage or matching prints.

You’ll also need elastic, two pairs of snaps, lightweight interfacing, and basic sewing supplies. Full details are included in the instructions.

CHOOSING YOUR SIZE
Choose by your baby’s body measurements, including hips measured over a diaper. Age ranges are a guide.

PRINTING
My instruction PDF includes the all-size tiled pattern on pages 2–10. You can print this PDF on US Letter or A4 paper at 100% / Actual Size, with the page centered and Fit/Shrink turned off. Print page 2 first and check that both sides of the test square measure exactly 2 inches (5.08 cm). A separate A4-layout PDF is not included.
