Three things before you start
Check your print size
Print at 100% / Actual Size. Turn off “Fit to Page” and measure the test squares before cutting.
Choose by measurements
Use the finished sole measurements in your PDF rather than age alone. I’m sewing the 6–9-month size in this video.
Use what you have
A regular home sewing machine is fine. Fold the ties by hand, or use a bias tape maker if you have one.

Gather your supplies
Woven cotton, cotton batting, matching thread and your usual sewing tools. Keep a small safety pin or bodkin handy for the ties.
